Missions and Community Outreach

While all of the programs of the church are “missional” in nature, expressing our faith in the teachings of Jesus Christ by ways we help others, the Missions Committee makes a special effort to respond locally, nationally and internationally. Some of our projects include:

Living Hope with NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness)
Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home
UMCOR (United Methodist Commitee on Relief)
Pumpkin Patch
Rainbow Child Christmas Tree

The Mission committee is a group of people with different skills. It is a group of men and women of all ages who volunteer time, have a willing spirit and a belief in the example of Christ. For most people, the amount of time they give to others through these projects, strengthens their faith and enriches their relationships with others. All are welcome!
