Missions/Community Outreach

While all of the programs of the church are “missional” in nature, expressing our faith in the teachings of Jesus Christ by ways we help others, the Missions Committee makes a special effort to respond locally, nationally and internationally. Some of our projects include:

Feed Dat Ministry

Mt. Olive Feeding Program

Community Thanksgiving dinner

Christmas gifts and baskets for the families of Rainbow Child Care Center

Wheelchair ramps

Habitat for Humanity

Boys and Girls Club of Slidell

Prison Ministry

Danielle Inn

Emergency Aid for victims of natural disasters

Missionaries and teams in Mexico, Cuba and Belize

Mission week at the Choctaw Reservation in Philadelphia, MS

The Mission committee is a group of people with different skills. It is a group of men and women of all ages who volunteer time, have a willing spirit and a belief in the example of Christ. For most people, the amount of time they give to others through these projects, strengthens their faith and enriches their relationships with others. All are welcome!

Feed Dat Ministry is a ministry that connects food and other items to those in need.  Items vary weekly and consist of what we are given by the warehouse
